Pushing the boundaries of performance, the 1/8 RC8B4e 4x4 Electric Buggy Team Kit is designed for the challenges of 1:8 scale off-road racing, requiring precision and attention to detail. This latest development from Associated Electrics’ Area 51 incorporates advanced features that build upon the accolades of the popular RC8 series.

The RC8B4e features innovative front-end geometry, with reduced inclined kingpin steering blocks paired with a wider upper suspension arm pivot. This setup enhances steering balance and predictability in handling across various conditions. The newly designed gearboxes, featuring larger 6x13x5 mm flanged bearings, ensure longer life for the ring and pinion gears, improving drivetrain efficiency and reducing vibrations. Furthermore, the specialized front and rear suspension arms accommodate a range of flex and stiffness, tailoring performance to your driving style.

This kit also includes a one-piece anti-roll bar link and a unique optional molded wing insert for increased front-end downforce. The adjustable rear wing has more vertical fins for enhanced straight-line stability and increased downforce due to its taller rear wicker lip. Additionally, the redesigned rear chassis brace reduces material fatigue and allows for three different chassis flex options, contributing to improved performance and longevity of the drivetrain components.

Advanced features such as a symmetrical left and right new rear hub design with axle height inserts offer customizable roll center tuning. The captured CVA drive shaft design in both front and rear, combined with an optimal battery layout, allows for configurations that maintain a low center of gravity and centralized weight bias. The kit is compatible with various battery configurations, accommodating two 2S shorty “saddle pack” batteries or a single 4S shorty battery.

With improvements that include robust new 16mm shocks, locking spring cups, and enhanced differential designs, every detail of the RC8B4e is engineered for improved performance.
