1/10 TRX-4 Chevrolet 1972 Blazer with Interior Ready to Run (Black) (TRA91076-4-BLK)

This item is currently available for Preorder.

The Traxxas TRX-4 1972 Chevrolet Blazer combines classic Chevrolet styling with the trail-proven capability of the TRX-4 platform. Its officially licensed 1/10 scale Blazer body features a clipless mounting system, clear windows, a detailed interior, replica chrome wheels, a chrome grille, molded side mirrors, bumpers, side trim, windshield wipers, full wheel wells, and floor pans for an authentic scale appearance.

The clipless body system keeps the Blazer's exterior lines clean while providing secure retention during demanding trail driving. Hidden latches hold the body firmly in place and release quickly when access to the chassis or battery compartment is needed. The detailed interior mounts directly to the body support cage and includes molded features such as a steering wheel, center console, shifter, and scale decals.

TRX-4 capability starts with portal axles that raise the axle housings for an impressive 3.14 inches of center ground clearance. This design also improves axle geometry, helps reduce driveshaft strain, and minimizes torque twist. Raised steering and suspension links further improve obstacle clearance, while the 59-degree front approach angle helps the truck tackle steep climbs, rocks, and deep trail ruts.

Remote-locking front and rear differentials allow the driver to adjust traction directly from the transmitter. The differentials can remain unlocked for tighter steering on easier terrain or be locked when additional traction is required. Sleeved micro cables actuated by waterproof micro servos provide dependable operation without restricting suspension articulation.

A remotely shifted two-speed transmission provides both low-range control for technical crawling and high-range gearing for faster trail driving. The drivetrain uses full-time shaft-driven four-wheel drive, hardened steel components, steel transfer case gears, tough 6 mm stub axles, steel front CV driveshafts, hardened steel rear axle shafts, and a twin friction plate slipper clutch for added drivetrain protection.

Power comes from a Titan 21-turn 550 reverse-rotation brushed motor paired with the waterproof XL-5 HV electronic speed control. The high-torque motor features an internal cooling fan, while the speed control supports 4-7 cell NiMH and 2s-3s LiPo battery packs. Five selectable drive profiles provide Sport, Race, Training, Trail, and Crawl driving characteristics. Trail Mode adds a trail-tuned drag brake, while Crawl Mode provides instant reverse and a full hill-holding brake for technical terrain.

The included TQi 2.4 GHz radio system features a four-channel transmitter and a five-channel micro receiver with fail-safe security and integrated telemetry ports. Cruise control helps maintain a consistent pace during extended trail driving, while transmitter-mounted controls provide on-the-fly access to high and low transmission ranges and front and rear differential locking. The system is also compatible with the optional Traxxas Link Wireless Module for additional app-based functionality.

A chassis-mounted 2075X metal-gear digital waterproof steering servo delivers precise control, while the front axle provides up to 45 degrees of steering angle with the differential unlocked. Corrected steering geometry helps reduce bump steer, and the direct steering system eliminates the need for a servo saver.

Oil-filled aluminum GTS coil-over shocks provide smooth, controlled damping over rough terrain. Threaded aluminum shock bodies and adjustment collars make ride-height changes simple, while O-ring cap seals and dual X-ring shaft seals help maintain consistent performance. The suspension uses a three-link front arrangement with a panhard bar and a triangulated four-link rear setup. Heavy-duty rod ends, steel hollow balls, and 5 mm steel suspension links provide additional strength and durability.

The rigid chassis uses 1.5 mm steel frame rails and molded crossmembers to resist torsional flex while allowing the suspension to articulate effectively. The frame design supports multiple wheelbase configurations, and adjustable rear shock tower positions accommodate short- and long-wheelbase arrangements. Functional rock sliders provide additional body support and protection while offering width adjustment.

The 1.9-inch replica chrome wheels are pre-mounted to Canyon Trail tires made with a trail-tuned S1 rubber compound. Deep tread blocks and tuned foam inserts provide traction and realistic sidewall flex during crawling. The wheels use 12 mm steel hexes for dependable power transfer.

The battery compartment is designed to accommodate a wide range of battery sizes. A hinged battery strap allows fast battery changes without loose retaining pins, and the main tray accepts full-size packs as well as smaller 1/16 scale batteries. A secondary front battery tray can also accommodate a smaller battery to move additional weight toward the front axle for improved climbing traction.

Waterproof electronics allow the TRX-4 Blazer to operate through mud, snow, wet trails, and shallow water without limiting the adventure to dry conditions. Molded inner fenders help keep rocks, mud, and debris away from chassis components while adding to the scale appearance.

The TRX-4 1972 Chevrolet Blazer measures 20.62 inches long, 9.78 inches wide, and 10.05 inches tall with a 12.28-inch wheelbase. Front and rear track width measure 9.78 inches, center ground clearance is 3.14 inches, and total vehicle weight is approximately 7.43 pounds. The truck uses a shaft-driven four-wheel-drive system, a remotely shifted two-speed transmission, and 32-pitch gearing.

The included Titan 21T reverse-rotation motor is a high-torque brushed design weighing approximately 8.47 ounces. It measures 3.07 inches in overall length with a 2.25-inch motor can, a 1.53-inch diameter, a 3 mm shaft, and bullet-style motor connectors. The XL-5 HV brushed electronic speed control weighs approximately 2.60 ounces and uses bullet motor connectors, a Traxxas High-Current battery connector, and 14-gauge power wire.

The package includes the TRX-4 Scale and Trail crawler, XL-5 HV waterproof electronic speed control, Titan 21T reverse-rotation motor, TQi 2.4 GHz radio system with cruise control, and maintenance tools. A compatible battery and charger are required separately. The vehicle accepts a variety of 4-7 cell NiMH and 2s-3s LiPo batteries, and the transmitter requires four AA alkaline batteries.
