HO Ortner 5-Bay Rapid Discharge Hopper is a meticulously detailed HO-scale model designed for realistic, ready-to-run operation on model railroads. This five-bay hopper reproduces a prototypical rapid-discharge car and arrives fully assembled with a weighted chassis and machined metal wheels for dependable performance on standard HO track, capable of handling typical layouts with an 18-inch minimum radius.

Five-car sets feature unique road numbers, and the tooling delivers higher fidelity with separately applied metal grab irons and end cages, detailed brake piping, and an etched stainless steel brake wheel platform. Hopper-door linkage is accurately scaled with a reshaped weight to enhance the see-through effect.
