N 40' Fruehauf Trailer, Cotton Belt SWTZ #20-9126 (ATH-1028)

An N-scale, 40-foot Fruehauf Z-Van intermodal trailer in Cotton Belt livery, designed for realistic road-and-rail layouts. The Z-Van trailer was built for durability to bridge highway and rail travel in intermodal service, a common sight from the 1970s through the 2000s.

Fully assembled with beaded-side body panels, rubber tires, and separately applied mud flaps, this model features interchangeable landing gear (raised or lowered) for authentic positioning and razor-sharp printing and painting. It’s designed to pair with Athearn truck tractors for authentic TOFC operations on intermodal layouts.
