HO EMD GP60 Locomotive Sound-Ready NS #7129 (ATH-1034)

HO EMD GP60 Locomotive in Norfolk Southern livery NS 7129 is a sound-equipped, ready-to-run HO-scale model. It features onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx and supports both DC and DCC operation, with full DCC functions available when used in DCC mode and engine, horn, and bell sounds active on DC. A DCC-ready 21-pin NEM plug makes digital control quick and straightforward.

The GP60 is built around a heavy die-cast frame for traction and smooth performance, powered by a 5-pole motor with flywheels and precise gearing, plus all-wheel drive and electrical pickup. It includes factory-installed Celcon handrails, see-through cab windows, and separately applied detail parts, along with LED headlights, ditch lights, and beacons where applicable. The model rides on nickel-plated, machined wheels with RP25 contours and uses McHenry knuckle couplers for authentic operation. It ships fully assembled, painted and decorated to NS’s scheme and is ready to run on HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended). Part of the Legendary Liveries line, it offers iconic paint schemes and alternate-history looks, and Primed for Grime variants provide a ready-made starting point for weathering to recreate a weathered, in-service appearance.
