HO Ortner 5-Bay Rapid Discharge Hopper (ATH-1062)

HO Ortner 5-Bay Rapid Discharge Hopper set is a five-car HO-scale freight collection designed to reproduce the prototype five-bay rapid-discharge hopper used in freight service. The five cars include removable loads and unique road numbers on each car, allowing realistic consist-building and operations on a model railroad.

With newly tooled, highly detailed injection-molded bodies, these hoppers feature separately applied metal grab irons and end cages, as well as detailed brake-line piping and an etched stainless-steel brake wheel platform. They ride on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for reliable operation on most track brands, and use body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers for solid, prototypical linkage. They are weighted for stable tracking, come fully assembled and ready to run, and require a minimum 18-inch radius to operate on typical layouts.
