HO-scale EMD GP60 Locomotive with Econami DCC & Sound in SSW 9672 livery is a ready-to-run diesel model designed to bring authentic freight power to HO layouts. It features onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx and operates on both DC and DCC layouts, with full DCC functionality available when used in DCC mode. Engine, horn, and bell sounds work on DC, while all DCC functions are NMRA-compatible in DCC mode. Painted and decorated for realism, this model captures the look and feel of a late-model GP60 and is ready to roll on today’s tracks.

Built for strong performance and precise detailing, the GP60 features a heavy die-cast frame, a 5-pole motor with flywheels and a multi-link drive for smooth, quiet operation, and all-wheel electrical pickup for reliable power. It includes factory Celcon handrails, see-through cab windows, individually applied grab irons, and prototype cues like a brake wheel or ratchet brake nose. The DCC-ready chassis features a 21-pin NEM plug, and lighting—LED headlights, ditch lights, and beacons where applicable—enhances realism. The model rides on machined nickel-plated wheels with RP25 contours and uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers, with minimum radii of 18 inches (22 inches recommended) for smooth operation. For weathering enthusiasts, a grime-ready finish with faded base colors provides an authentic in-service look and is a ready starting point for adding grime and rust.
