HO EMD GP60 Sound-Ready Locomotive (ATH-1177)

HO-scale GP60 Sound-Ready Locomotive is a ready-to-run HO model that recreates the GP60 freight power used on intermodal duties. This sound-equipped version includes onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx, delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds, and it operates on both DC and DCC layouts with full DCC functions available when used on a DCC system.

Under the shell lies a heavy die-cast frame for traction, a 5-pole motor with precision flywheels, and a multi-link drive for smooth, quiet operation. LEDs light the front and rear as appropriate, with ditch lights and beacons where applicable; the cab windows are see-through, and the model features Celcon handrails and separately applied grab irons. It uses RP25-profile wheels and McHenry scale-knuckle couplers, and is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM plug. It ships fully assembled and decorated for immediate running on HO layouts with a minimum radius around 18 inches (22 inches recommended).
