HO Ortner 5-Bay Rapid Discharge Hopper (ATH-1208)

HO Ortner 5-Bay Rapid Discharge Hopper cars are detailed HO-scale freight models designed to bring realistic five-bay hopper service to model layouts. This five-pack includes five uniquely numbered road units with removable loads, fully assembled and ready to run on standard HO track.

These hoppers feature newly-tooled injection-molded bodies with separately applied metal grab irons and end cages for a faithful prototype look, plus detailed brake line piping and an etched stainless-steel brake wheel platform. They ride on body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers and machined RP25 wheels for smooth operation on most track brands. A reshaped weight and accurately scaled hopper-door linkage enhance the see-through effect, while the set is weighted for steady handling and designed for a minimum 18-inch radius to suit a wide range of HO layouts.
