On the rails it delivers robust, smooth operation and authentic detail: all-wheel drive with precision gears, a five-pole motor, and RP25 wheels for reliable tracking; see-through cab windows, wire grab irons, coupler cut levers, photo-etch windshield wipers, and a detailed fuel tank with gauges. Lighting includes LED headlights and, where prototyped, ditch lights and beacons. Non-sound versions are DCC-ready with a 21-pin DCC plug, while sound-equipped units come with onboard DCC and SoundTraxx Econami plus a single speaker for engine and horn sounds on both DC and DCC, with improved low-speed operation. The model supports MU lashups and CV adjustments, with a CV chart included, and it’s designed to run on minimum 18" curves (22" curves recommended) for the smoothest performance.
