HO EMD SD40-2 Locomotive, Conrail number 6359, is an HO-scale ready-to-run model that faithfully recreates the rugged character of the Dash-2 era locomotive. Fully assembled and ready to operate, this Conrail-themed model brings authentic styling and detailed underframe to any layout.

Prototype-accurate detailing includes see-through cab windows, wire grab irons, scale handrails, and finely rendered fuel tanks with fillers and gauges, plus exhaust stack and see-through dynamic brake and radiator fans. Lighting enhances realism with LED headlights, ditch lights, and beacons where the prototype carried them. The model rides on a heavy die-cast frame with all-wheel drive for smooth, quiet operation, and uses RP25-contoured wheels for reliable tracking. For DC operation some functions may be limited, while DCC layouts benefit from NMRA-compatible function lighting and, in sound-equipped versions, a DCC decoder with a SoundTraxx Econami sound system and a single speaker. McHenry knuckle couplers add authentic coupling actions. The locomotive is designed for minimum 18-inch radii (22 inches recommended) and ships in secure packaging to protect it during storage or transit.
