HO EMD SD40-2 Locomotive with DCC & Sound, ATSF #5061 (ATH-1252)

HO-scale EMD SD40-2 locomotive with DCC and sound in Santa Fe livery (#5061) is a ready-to-run model that brings authentic diesel power to a layout. Equipped with an onboard SoundTrax Econami sound decoder and a single speaker, it delivers engine, horn, and bell sounds for a lifelike experience on both DC and DCC layouts; DCC mode provides full NMRA-compatible control, while some functions are limited in DC.

Prototype-inspired detailing includes a heavy die-cast frame for traction, all-wheel drive for smooth operation, see-through cab windows, fine-scale Celcon handrails, and photo-etch windshield wipers. LED headlights, ditch lights, and beacons (where applicable) illuminate the locomotive as it would in service, with RP25 wheel contours for reliable running on most HO track. The model is fully assembled and ready to run, supports MU lashups, and requires a minimum 18-inch radius (22 inches recommended) for optimal performance.
