An HO-scale FMC 4700 Covered Hopper BN Ex-AFEX three-pack captures Burlington Northern’s late-era freight service, designed to bring authentic, ready-to-run BN hoppers to HO layouts. The trio features highly detailed injection-molded bodies with accurate painting and printing, giving a convincing, in-service appearance without extra work.

On the rails, these hoppers roll on 100-ton trucks with 36" RP25 nickel-silver wheels and are weighted for smooth, reliable operation on standard HO track with a minimum radius of 18 inches. Factory-applied roof walks, hatches, end details, ladders, and wire grab irons complement separately applied brake gear and see-through etched end platforms and roof walkways. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers ensure dependable coupling, and two outlet grate variations add realism.
