HO FMC 4700 Covered Hopper XTRA is a highly detailed HO-scale model freight car designed for authentic bulk-hopper service on model railroads. It features separately applied brake gear, 100-ton trucks with 36-inch solid nickel-silver wheels with RP25 contours, two outlet grate variations, factory-applied roof walk, roof hatch, end details, ladders, and wire grab irons. See-through etched metal end platforms and roof walkways enhance realism, and body-mounted operating scale knuckle couplers provide reliable coupling. The injection-molded body is accurately painted and weighted for smooth operation, with a minimum radius of 18 inches for easy handling on standard layouts.

Primed for grime models, this car replicates the look of in-service equipment with faded base colors and variations that make it a perfect starting point for adding grime and rust.
