HO-scale FMC 4700 Covered Hopper, Primed for Grime in an Ex-CNW-inspired finish. This detailed model recreates an in-service freight car with a grime-ready primer, providing a realistic starting point for weathering to match prototype Ex-CNW equipment on your layout.

Designed for authentic operation on HO layouts, the car features separately applied brake gear—including brake wheel, housing, chain, lever, air reservoir, brake cylinder and triple valve—along with 36" nickel-silver wheels on 100-ton trucks with RP25 contours. Factory-applied roof walk, end details, ladders, and etched metal end platforms and roof walkways enhance the scale realism, while body-mounted scale knuckle couplers and a weighted chassis ensure smooth handling. The injection-molded body is accurately painted and printed, with two outlet grate variations and a minimum turning radius of 18 inches. The Primed for Grime finish mirrors the weathered look of in-service equipment, making it an ideal base for adding grime and rust to suit a variety of layouts.
