HO Santa Fe 50-foot Pullman Standard box car, primed for grime and ex-railbox, is a detailed HO-scale model designed to reproduce mid-1970s freight equipment with a weather-ready finish.

On the model, a single 10' Pullman Standard door is complemented by separately applied grab irons, end ladders, and a brake wheel, while a photo-etch crossover platform adds prototypical detail. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and a weighted chassis help ensure smooth operation, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale-knuckle couplers provide reliable coupling. The injection-molded body is painted and printed for realistic decoration, and the model is designed to run on HO-track radii as tight as 18 inches. The Primed for Grime variant duplicates the look of in-service equipment, with faded base colors matched to the prototype and a ready starting point for adding grime and rust. In prototype terms, these 50-foot PS box cars were a common foundation for new per diem cars in the 1970s, with door configurations varying to suit customers, and they remain a familiar sight on today’s rails.
