HO Scale Pullman Standard 50-Foot Box Car in NDEM livery is a faithful in-service model designed to bring mid-1970s freight operations to life on modern layouts. It features a single 10-foot Pullman Standard door, with separately applied grab irons, end ladders, and a brake wheel for a precise silhouette.

Detail and operation come from a photo-etch crossover platform, machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, and a weighted body for smooth running. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers provide prototypical coupling with other rolling stock, while the injection-molded body is highly detailed and finished with authentic paint and printing. It runs on 18-inch minimum-radius curves and is primed for grime modeling, duplicating the look and feel of in-service equipment with faded base colors and a perfect starting point for adding rust and weathering. The prototype’s backstory recalls the mid-1970s surge of per diem boxcars, with PS building 50-foot cars in varying door configurations that remain a familiar sight on today’s rails.
