This HO-scale Berwick Bathtub Extended Side Gondola is a detailed bulk-freight car modeled after the classic bathtub gondola, designed to carry large, bulky loads with increased capacity. The extended side design mirrors the real-world evolution toward higher-volume bulk service, and the model includes separately applied grab irons, end ladders, and a brake wheel for authentic in-service detail, complemented by a weighted chassis to promote stable operation on HO tracks.

On the rails it rolls with body-mounted McHenry scale-knuckle couplers and machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for smooth performance across popular HO-track brands. It is weighted for dependable handling and designed to run on layouts with a minimum 18-inch radius (22 inches recommended). The finish is primed for grime modeling, duplicating the look of in-service equipment with faded base colors and providing a ready starting point for adding grime and rust.
