HO-scale EMD SD39 Locomotive in Santa Fe ATSF livery, number 1570, is a ready-to-run HO model designed to bring authentic mid-1960s diesel power to a model railroad layout. It’s offered in sound-equipped and non-sound versions; the non-sound variant ships with a speaker installed and a 21-pin DCC plug for adding a sound decoder later, while the sound-equipped version includes onboard Econami sound and full DCC functionality for a lifelike operation.

Built for dependable performance and rich detail, this model features a heavy die-cast frame, a five-pole motor with precision flywheels, and a multi-link drive train for smooth, quiet running and strong pulling power. It rides on RP25-contoured wheels with full all-wheel electrical pickup and uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers for authentic coupling. Fine details include see-through cab windows, see-through dynamic brake and radiator fans, separately applied air tanks, a detailed fuel tank, and wire-formed grab irons with fine-scale handrails.
