HO EMD SD39 Locomotive SP #5317 (ATH-1453)

HO-scale EMD SD39 Locomotive in SP livery, SP 5317. This six-axle diesel-electric freight locomotive is modeled for HO layouts and arrives fully assembled and ready to run, with realistic paint and detailing that mirror the prototype.

Designed for flexible operation, the SD39 is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM plug for sound decoders, and sound-equipped versions include onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx for authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds that work in both DC and DCC. It features a front and rear SP light package with Gyralights, a heavy die-cast frame for traction, RP25-contoured wheels for reliable tracking, and McHenry scale knuckle couplers for easy coupling. Realistic detailing includes see-through cab windows, fine-scale handrails, separate air tanks, and see-through dynamic brake and radiator fans, plus a detailed fuel tank.
