HO-scale Santa Fe EMD SD39 locomotive with DCC and sound is a ready-to-run model designed to bring authentic diesel operation to HO layouts. This ATSF #1570 unit captures the look and feel of the SD39, with sound-equipped versions delivering onboard engine, horn, and bell effects, plus LED lighting for added realism on both day and night runs.

Under the hood, the model rides on a heavy die-cast frame and a five-pole motor with flywheels for strong pulling power and smooth, quiet operation. It features RP25-contoured wheels that work with most HO track brands, see-through cab windows, fine-scale handrails, separately applied air tanks, and detailed fuel tanks, along with see-through dynamic brake and radiator fans. The model is fully assembled and ready to run, with McHenry scale knuckle couplers and a 21-pin NEM DCC plug for decoder installation; sound-equipped versions include onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx with full DC and DCC functionality and MU lashup capability via CV changes. A grime-ready finish provides a starting point for weathering, and operation is suited to standard HO layouts with an 18-inch minimum radius (22 inches recommended) for best performance.
