HO EMD SD39 Locomotive with DCC & Sound, Southern Pacific #5313 (ATH-1460)

An HO-scale EMD SD39 diesel locomotive in Southern Pacific SP 5313, a ready-to-run model designed for DCC layouts and available with sound. This six-axle SP power captures the look of late-1960s road diesel, featuring a heavy die-cast frame for traction and a finely detailed injection-molded body. Front and rear light packages with gyralights, LEDs for headlights and ditch lights, plus a 3600-gallon fuel tank, FARR radiator grilles, ballast boxes, dual EMD plows, and dynamic brakes create an authentic SP silhouette. The model rolls on RP25 wheel contours for reliable operation on common HO track and uses a 5-pole motor with flywheels and a multi-link drive train for smooth, quiet performance.

Designed for flexible operation on HO layouts, the SD39 is DCC-ready with a 21-pin plug to accept a decoder, and sound-equipped versions include onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds that respond to DC or DCC control. It features fine-scale handrails, separately applied detail parts, see-through cab windows, and see-through dynamic brake and radiator fans for realism. Painted and printed for realistic decoration, with a grime-ready option that provides a starting point for weathering to match in-service equipment, and a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended) to ensure smooth performance across curves and grades.
