This fully assembled, ready-to-run reefer captures the distinctive look and proportions of mid-century freight cars, with authentic underframe detail including air brake reservoir, control valve, brake cylinder, and fuel tank. It offers two exhaust stack styles—straight pipe with a flapper and a T-shaped smokejack—to match the prototype and era. The model rides on 100-ton roller bearing trucks with 36-inch machined metal wheels that operate on Code 55 and 80 rail, and uses body-mounted McHenry knuckle couplers. With a highly detailed, injection-molded body and accurate paint and printing, the car is weighted for smooth operation on layout curves; minimum radius is 9¾ inches, with 11 inches recommended for trouble-free performance.

Sound-equipped models feature authentic sound recorded from an actual reefer unit, with the sound module cycling on and off and drawing minimal track power; volume is adjustable. A primed-for-grime option offers the look and feel of an in-service car, with faded base colors matched to the prototype and a perfect starting point for adding grime and rust. Together, these details deliver a compelling, ready-to-run representation of a classic refrigerator car that enhances any freight operation.
