Underframe detailing includes Keystone cushioning, air brake reservoir, control valve, brake cylinder, and fuel tank, while two exhaust-stack styles let you match prototype eras. The model rides on 100-ton roller bearing trucks with 36-inch machined metal wheels that run on Code 55 and 80 rail, and it uses body-mounted McHenry operating knuckle couplers for reliable operation. A weighted chassis helps keep it on track through curves, with a minimum radius of 9¾ inches and a recommended 11 inches for best performance. The sound-equipped version features onboard SoundTraxx audio recorded from an actual reefer unit, with sound that cycles on and off and volume adjustable on the board.
