HO-scale GP50 locomotive in Santa Fe livery (ATSF 3853) is a ready-to-run model designed to bring authentic GP50 power to a modern layout. It features a DCC-ready 21-pin NEM plug for easy decoder installation and is prepared to accommodate sound decoders, delivering a richer operation on a digital layout.

Factory-installed Celcon handrails and individually applied wire-form grab irons add to the model's scale detail, while a heavy die-cast frame and all-wheel drive with precision gearing deliver smooth, quiet operation. A 5-pole motor with precision-machined flywheels and a multi-link drive ensures consistent performance, and see-through cab windows heighten realism. Lighting includes LED headlights at the front and rear, with ditch lights and beacons where the prototype called for them. Replacement parts are available, and the wheels are nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels with RP25 contours for reliable tracking, plus separately-applied horns and McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. It ships fully assembled and decorated in a highly detailed injection-molded body and is designed for minimum radii of 18 inches, with 22 inches recommended.
