Built for reliable operation, the GP50 rides on a heavy die-cast frame with all-wheel drive and precision gearing for smooth, quiet pulling power. Realistic detailing includes factory Celcon handrails, individually applied wire-form grab irons, see-through cab windows, and separately mounted horns, plus McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. LED headlights, ditch lights, and beacons illuminate the prototype, while DCC Ready with a 21-pin NEM plug supports decoder installation. The wheels are nickel-plated, blackened machined RP25 contours for smooth tracking on a wide range of track brands, and replacement parts are available if needed.
