The HO Scale ATH 40' 4-Bay Offset Hopper is a finely detailed model that features a removable load, allowing for a realistic representation of freight transport. This car includes McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers for ease of connection with other rolling stock, as well as factory-applied wire grab irons, stirrup steps, end braces, and a brake platform that enhance the authenticity of the model. It is equipped with precision machined metal wheels designed with RP25 contours, ensuring smooth operation on tracks.

The hopper car's design incorporates separately applied brake gear, which includes the brake wheel, housing, air reservoir, brake cylinder, triple valve, and trainline, complete with supports and a roping eye. Additionally, it is weighted for optimum performance during operation and has a minimum radius requirement of 18 inches, making it suitable for various HO scale layouts.
