The HO ACF 2970 Covered Hopper features a meticulously detailed design, representing the NP #75012 model. This model is equipped with a photo-etched metal roof walk and comes with detailed outlets, offering both round and trough hatches. The brake gear is separately applied, including a brake wheel, brake cylinder, valve, and air reservoir, complete with wire brake plumbing for authenticity.

For enhanced operation, the car is fitted with body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers and includes factory applied wire grab irons and stirrup steps. The precision machined metal wheels are designed with RP25 contours, ensuring smooth movement, while the screw mounted truck adds to the model's durability. The covered hopper is weighted for optimum performance and operates smoothly around a minimum radius of 18 inches.
