HO 50' FMC 5347 DD Offset Box Car ESLJ #7716 (ATH-1750)

HO Scale FMC 50' Offset Box Car ESLJ is a newly tooled HO model designed to reproduce mid-1970s per diem boxcars on HO-scale layouts. It features road-specific doors, separately applied grab irons, end ladders and a brake wheel, plus a photo-etched crossover platform and full underbody brake detail. Weighted for smooth operation, it rolls on 33" machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and uses body-mounted McHenry scale-knuckle couplers. The car is painted and printed for realistic decoration and can negotiate minimum curves of 18 inches in radius.

Primed for grime models, it presents a convincing in-service look with faded base colors and is an ideal starting point for adding grime and rust. The design reflects FMC’s mid-1970s generation of 50' outside-post, non-terminating end boxcars, built with varying door configurations to suit different customers—a familiar sight on today’s railroads.
