N TankTrain Intermediate CGTX Unnumbered Model (ATH-1773)

This N-scale TankTrain CGTX Unnumbered Intermediate Tank Car is a ready-to-run model that faithfully reproduces GATX’s modern tank cars, represented in two classes—the 282-series (1977–present) and the 486-series (1982–present).

Designed for realistic operation on standard N-scale layouts, it features finely painted and printed details, accurate walkways, manways, and load/unload plaques tailored to each series, plus full underbody plumbing. The car rides on 100-ton roller-bearing trucks with rotating bearing caps and 36" machined metal wheels with RP25 contours compatible with most popular tracks. It includes separate wire-form grab irons, etched metal coupler platforms, and soft vinyl transfer hoses that bend as the car negotiates curves. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, complete underframe detail (air brake reservoirs, control valves, and brake cylinders), and the minimum 9¾" radius (with 11" recommended) ensure reliable operation on typical layouts. Fully assembled and ready to run right out of the box.
