An N-scale two-car TankTrain set representing GATX tank cars in white and black, designed to bring authentic tank-car traffic to a model railroad layout and ready to run straight from the box.

The pair represents two GATX classes—the 282-series and 486-series—featuring finely detailed walkways, full underbody plumbing and rigging, and 100-ton roller-bearing trucks with rotating bearing caps. They are accurately painted and printed for prototypical realism, with separate wireform grab irons and etched metal coupler platforms, correct walkways, manways, and load/unload plaques per series, and transfer plumbing matched to the prototype series and end. Soft vinyl transfer hoses bend naturally as the cars navigate curves, while injection-molded bodies offer high detail and body-mounted McHenry scale-knuckle couplers. Underframe detail includes air-brake reservoir, control valve, and brake cylinder with plumbing and brake-rod details. 36-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours ensure smooth operation on most brands of track, with a minimum radius of 9-3/4 inches and 11 inches recommended. The 282-series era runs from 1977 to present, and the 486-series from 1982 to present.
