N TankTrain Intermediate GATX White and Black Model (ATH-1785)

An N-scale GATX TankTrain Intermediate tank car in white and black, designed to add authentic mid-to-late 20th-century freight traffic to an N-scale layout. Fully assembled and ready to run, this model delivers realistic proportions and detailed touches such as walkways, underbody plumbing, and transfer hoses that bring a prototype feel to any freight train.

Representing two GATX classes (282-series and 486-series), it features finely detailed walkways, full underbody plumbing and rigging, 100-ton roller-bearing trucks with rotating bearing caps, separate wireform grab irons and etched coupler platforms, correct end treatments and transfer plumbing, and soft vinyl transfer hoses that bend as the car negotiates curves. The injection-molded body is highly detailed, with body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers and full underframe detail, including air brake components. It rides on 36-inch machined wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation on most track brands. Minimum radius is 9 3/4 inches, with an 11-inch radius recommended for best performance.
