HO SD40-2 Locomotive NS #3261 (ATH-1800)

HO-scale Norfolk Southern SD40-2 locomotive NS 3261, a ready-to-run HO model built to bring authentic motive power to model railroad layouts. This locomotive is offered in a sound-equipped variant with onboard DCC and SoundTraxx Econami sound, as well as a DCC-ready non-sound version for hobbyists who want to customize their own sound setup.

Featuring a heavy die-cast frame, all-wheel drive with precision gears for smooth operation, RP25-contour wheels for reliable tracking, and fine detailing such as see-through cab windows, wire grab irons, a detailed fuel tank, and photo-etch windshield wipers, it delivers both rugged performance and faithful realism. The sound-equipped model includes a DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Econami, a single-cube speaker, and NMRA-compatible functions in DCC mode; engine, horn, and bell sounds operate in DC as well (some functions are limited in DC). A CV chart is included for tuning, and the model is fully assembled and ready to run on HO layouts with a minimum 18" radius (22" recommended).
