HO SD40-2 Locomotive Primed For Grime HLCX 8070 (ATH-1804)

An HO-scale SD40-2 locomotive primed for grime in HLCX 8070. This fully assembled, ready-to-run model is designed for realistic on-layout operation, offering a weather-ready base that invites weathering and customization.

Built for HO layouts, it combines a heavy die-cast frame and all-wheel drive for solid traction and smooth operation, with RP25 wheels and fine detailing such as see-through cab windows, a detailed fuel tank with gauges and breather pipes, separately applied air tanks, wire grab irons, and photo-etch windshield wipers. It is fully assembled and ready to run, with LED headlights, ditch lights, and other period-appropriate lighting. The locomotive is available in DCC-ready non-sound and sound-equipped variants, with an onboard decoder and SoundTraxx Econami in the latter (some functions are limited in DC). Road-number 8070 adds dynamic brakes, a Firecracker antenna, a Nathan 3-Chime horn, and an 88-inch nose with headlight and ratchet for added authenticity.
