HO 50' Evans DD Plug Box Car USLX #13063 (ATH-1853)

HO-scale Evans double-door plug boxcar, 50 feet long, a ready-to-run freight car for HO layouts. This model recreates a classic Evans boxcar with two eight-foot plug doors that provide access to the cargo space, ideal for representing a wide range of freight on the layout.

Fully assembled and finished with razor-sharp painting, it rides on 33" nickel-silver wheels with RP25 contours and uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers for reliable, prototypical coupling. The car is weighted for stable performance and includes separately applied grab irons, stirrup steps, end ladders, a brake wheel and stand, and other underbody details. It can negotiate curves as tight as 18" radii and is ready to run on most layouts. Boxcars like this enclose freight and are among the most versatile on the prototype railways; Evans-built models were common from the 1960s through the 1980s and remain a familiar, collectible part of railroading history on today’s layouts.
