HO Scale 65' Mill Gondola, DRGW 30017. This model recreates a classic steel-mill gondola from the 1940s, built by General American to haul long, heavy loads such as beams. It features hinged end panels and working drop ends to accommodate overhanging cargo, and when carrying especially long loads, flatcars are coupled to both ends to provide clearance.

Decorated and ready to run out of the box, the gondola rolls on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation on common HO track. It uses body-mounted McHenry scale-knuckle couplers for reliable coupling, includes interior detailing and separately applied wire grab irons, and is weighted for stable handling. With a minimum radius of 18 inches, it fits a wide range of layouts while delivering an authentic glimpse into steel-mill logistics.
