HO 65' Mill Gondola SOU #52327 (ATH-1954)

HO-scale 65-foot Mill Gondola — Southern Railway (SOU) is a faithful recreation of a 1940s steel-mill freight car designed for long, versatile loads. The prototype, built by General American, features riveted construction and hinged end panels that fold inward, allowing long beams and other overlength loads to extend beyond the car length. When carrying such loads, flatcars at both ends provide the necessary clearance for the overhang.

Decorated and ready to run, the model highlights authentic details including working drop ends, separately applied wire grab irons, interior detailing, and a weighted body for stable operation. It rides on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. The highly detailed injection-molded body, combined with a minimum 18-inch radius, makes it a versatile and authentic addition to HO layouts.
