HO 52' Mill Gondola with Unique Road Numbers (ATH-1986)

HO 52-foot Mill Gondola is a detailed, ready-to-run open-top freight car designed for carrying large, bulky loads such as coil steel or scrap metal loaded by crane. Ideal for industrial and interchange scenes on HO-scale layouts, this gondola adds realism and versatility to a diverse roster of freight cars. Two variants are available: a unique road-number edition designated ATH-1986 and a Burlington Northern three-pack numbered 567390, 567403, and 567415.

On the model side, the gondola features refined end-sheet molded-on details, improved rivet and bolt details, and correctly placed wire grab irons, along with updated top-chord details, jack reinforcement pad details, and coupler cut lever mounting details for an authentic appearance. Each car arrives fully assembled and ready for the layout, with razor-sharp painting and printing. The 33" solid nickel-silver wheels with RP25 contours roll smoothly on most track brands, and the cars are weighted for stable operation. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers ensure reliable handling, and a minimum radius of 18" makes them suitable for a wide range of layouts. The BN three-pack includes three distinct road numbers, making it easy to build a varied gondola set that complements industrial scenes and interchange operations.
