HO 52' Mill Gondola (ATH-1995)

HO-scale 52-foot Mill Gondola is a detailed open-top freight car designed to haul bulky loads such as coil steel or scrap metal on HO layouts. Open-top gondolas have long served railroads for moving large items loaded by crane, and this model captures that tradition with realistic proportions and crisp detailing ideal for steel-mill yards and industrial scenes.

Fully assembled and ready to run, it features separately applied wire grab irons, body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, and 33-inch solid nickel-silver wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation on most HO track. It is weighted for stable handling and finished with razor-sharp painting and printing. Available as a three-pack with three distinct road numbers, it adds variety to a yard or freight roster. Realistic detailing includes refined end-sheets, rivet and bolt work, corrected wire grab-iron placements, and updated top-chord and jack-reinforcement details with coupler-cut-lever mounting details that enhance authenticity. The minimum radius required for operation is 18 inches.
