HO Impack Spine Car UTTX #60127 (ATH-2104)

HO Impack Spine Car UTTX 60127 is an intermodal spine car designed to carry 40-45-foot trailers in four- to ten-unit sets. Based on the 1978 Santa Fe Fuel Foiler 10-unit design and produced under license by ITEL, these cars were built in 3-, 4-, 5-, 8-, and 10-car configurations and were used by operators including ATSF, BN, K&W, SSIX, SSW, and TTX.

On the model, expect a weighted, highly detailed injection-molded body, 28-inch solid nickel-silver wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation on most track, separately-applied brake wheel, and McHenry operating scale knuckles. A hidden die-cast weight adds stability, while the paint and decoration faithfully reflect prototypical schemes. The minimum radius is 18 inches, and the model is well-suited to hauling 40- to 45-foot trailers; for reliable operation, running empty cars in dedicated trains or at the rear of mixed trains is recommended.
