Built for robust, smooth performance, this model features a heavy die-cast frame and a 5-pole motor with precision flywheels and a multi-link drive for quiet operation and strong pulling power. Realistic details include see-through etched radiator fans and cab windows, metal grab irons, fine-scale handrails, and McHenry scale knuckle couplers. It rides on RP25-contour wheels that work with most popular brands of track and arrives fully assembled and ready to run. Minimum radius is 18 inches, with 22 inches recommended for best behavior. The sound-equipped unit uses an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Econami, supports CV adjustments, and operates on both DC and DCC layouts, delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds and enabling MU lashups when configured.
