HO ATH 40' Pickle Car OPCX #40 (ATH-2194)

The HO-scale 40-foot Pickle Car is a historically inspired model that recreates a vintage tank car built to transport pickles in brine. In prototype service, pickle cars carried several wooden or metal vats—typically three or four—and were often roofed, with pickles loaded through hatches in the roof.

It features a highly detailed injection-molded body, precise turnbuckles, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours ensure reliable operation on most HO track brands, and the model is weighted for optimum performance. Fully assembled and ready to run, it is designed for smooth handling on standard HO curves, with a minimum radius of 15 inches.
