Athearn HO Bay Window Caboose WP 427 is a detailed, ready-to-run HO-scale model that reproduces the distinctive bay-window caboose design used by the Western Pacific. The projecting bay window wall provides a clearer view of the train’s side and helps reduce fall hazards for crew during handling and switching.

Designed for reliable operation on standard HO layouts, this model features Barber-Bettendorf swing-motion caboose trucks, fine end rails and ladders, clear windows, and separately applied smoke jack and brake wheel. It arrives fully assembled and ready to run, with a weighted body, body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckles, and machined metal RP25 wheels for compatibility with popular track brands. The injection-molded body is painted and printed for realistic decoration, and the model supports a minimum radius of 18 inches.
