HO 60' Gunderson High Cube Double Door Box Car (ATH-2285)

HO-scale Gunderson 60-foot high-cube double-door boxcar is a detailed model for HO layouts. Based on a Gunderson-built design, it mirrors a modern freight car used to haul everything from auto parts to forest products and is offered in a range of liveries to match real-world operators.

It features separately applied wire grab irons and etched end platforms, body-mounted scale knuckle couplers, and razor-sharp painting and printing for a crisp, prototypical look. The model is weighted for smooth operation on typical HO curves, rides on 36-inch metal wheels with RP25 contours, and is suitable for a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended). It’s primed for grime, providing a faithful starting point for weathering to recreate the look of in-service equipment with faded base colors and realistic rust and dirt.
