The model includes a removable coal load and a rotary coupler on one end to permit loading or unloading without uncoupling.

On HO layouts, it runs smoothly on Code 40, 55, and 80 rails and rolls on 36-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and screw-mounted 100-ton roller bearing trucks.
