HO scale PS 4740 Covered Hopper model, a ready-to-run representation of the CSX/CSXT 4740-series covered hopper, designed to add authentic, prototypical freight cars to an HO layout.

Fully assembled and ready to run, it features body-mounted McHenry scale-knuckle couplers, 36" machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation on most brands of track, and roller-bearing trucks weighted for optimum performance. Razor-sharp painting and printing enhance the prototype look, with a minimum radius of 18 inches to fit common layouts. The model is primed for grime, duplicating the look and feel of in-service equipment with base colors faded to the prototype, providing a perfect starting point for adding grime and rust.
