HO ATH 30K Ethanol Tank Car DODX #14407/14412/14444 (ATH-2404)

An HO-scale 30,000-gallon Ethanol Tank Car modeled after a DODX-era tanker, designed to depict ethanol service on a modern layout. The model features a highly detailed injection-molded body with authentic painting and decoration and includes a range of operating details such as a separately applied walkway platform, manways, outlets, ladders, brake rigging, safety rail supports, tank saddles and printed placards.

On the underside, the car rides on 100-ton roller bearing trucks and 36-inch machined wheels with RP25 contours for smooth, reliable operation. It includes photo-etched metal walkways and end platforms, wire safety rails and end handrails, and is weighted for stable tracking. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers ensure realistic coupling, and the model is designed for HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches. Painted and printed decoration adds to the lifelike appearance and makes it a convincing ethanol hauler for any yard or mainline scene.
