N ATH 40' Pfaudler Wood Milk Car (ATH-2461)

The N ATH 40' Pfaudler Wood Milk Car is a detailed model reflecting the unique design and functionality of the original milk cars used in the 1920s through the 1950s. These cars, manufactured by the Pfaudler Company and General American Car Company, were built to carry bulk milk and featured two 6,000-gallon glass-lined tanks along with a brine cooling system to maintain a constant temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Often seen painted in Pullman green, this model is designed to replicate the look of these specialized railcars, which were frequently used alongside passenger cars of the era.

The model boasts an injection-molded body that is highly detailed, along with painted and printed elements for realistic decoration. Performance is enhanced by machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and screw-mounted trucks. The car is equipped with body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, allowing it to connect seamlessly with other models. With a minimum radius of 11 inches, this model is suited for various track layouts.
