The N ATH 40' Pfaudler Wood Milk Car is a highly detailed model that replicates the unique milk carriers used in the early 20th century. Manufactured by the Pfaudler Company and General American Car Company, these wood-sheathed cars were designed to transport bulk milk, featuring two 6,000-gallon glass-lined tanks and a brine cooling system that maintained the milk at a constant 38 degrees Fahrenheit. These cars typically rode on passenger car trucks and were often painted in Pullman green to match contemporary passenger cars. The Pfaudler cars continued to operate into the 1950s, showcasing their durability and effectiveness as bulk milk shipments were common during that time.

This model features screw-mounted trucks and machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for optimal performance.
