N ATH 40' Pfaudler Wood Milk Car (ATH-2473)

The N ATH 40' Pfaudler Wood Milk Car is a finely crafted model reflecting the rich history of milk transportation in the 1920s and beyond. Manufactured by the Pfaudler Company and General American Car Company, these wood-sheathed, insulated milk cars were designed to carry bulk milk, featuring two 6,000-gallon glass-lined tanks and a brine cooling system that maintained the milk's temperature at a constant 38 degrees Fahrenheit. These unique cars, often painted in Pullman green, showcased a design that not only prioritized function but also the aesthetics of the era, matching the look of contemporary passenger cars.

This model is equipped with screw-mounted trucks and machined metal wheels that conform to RP25 wheel standards, ensuring optimal performance on the tracks. The injection-molded body is highly detailed and features realistic painting and printing. Additionally, it is designed for a minimum radius of 11 inches, making it suitable for various layouts. The inclusion of body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers enhances its operational realism, allowing for seamless integration with other rolling stock.
